Our exquisite Federal Sofa is inspired by masterpieces from Boston, circa 1800. The elegant frame is supported by hand-turned, reeded front legs of perfect form. The leg pommel is hand-carved with a lovely floret. The bowed seat rail is faced with flame mahogany and a black border. The hand-turned serpentine arm posts are surmounted with handgrips, carved inside and outside with flowers, and backed with a birdseye maple panel. The swept arms ascend to a floret-carved crest rail, faced with flame mahogany and a black border, inlaid with a bellflower spray tied with a shaded bowknot. The french-polished finish creates a resplendent patina. Comfortably upholstered with the customer’s fabric and brass tacked. Eight way hand-tied springs in the seat. Client's choice of fabric. Built to last using authentic mortise& tenon joinery, an Adriance heirloom will delight for generations.
